Two more people are now in custody in connection with a theft at London's Heathrow Airport where 21 people were injured by a substance believed to be an irritant spray, as stated by police.
A man, 24, was arrested in the Lambeth area for suspected theft and assault and a 23-year-old woman was arrested on suspicion of conspiracy to commit robbery. They both remain in custody, authorities confirmed.
These detentions come after an investigation into an attack at the multi-level parking garage at Terminal 3 on Sunday. Prior to the attack, two women had stolen from them their luggage upon exiting a car park lift.
A three-year-old girl was one of the injured during the incident. A total of five individuals were taken to the hospital for medical care and were later released.
Officers detained a 31-year-old man for suspected robbery and assault close to the scene. He has since been released pending further inquiries while inquiries continue.
Authorities were alerted at about 8:10 in the morning GMT following reports of a number of individuals injured by an irritating chemical believed to be an irritant spray.
The assault - an event that police said was isolated and not considered an act of terror - caused train delays and the temporary shutdown of the Central Terminal Area tunnel and the Terminal 3 parking facility for a short time.
